What is dating online really like for those in the LGBTQ+ community? Has it really had a positive impact or is there a side we are not shown?

The LGBTQ+ community is ever growing, a group which cannot be given a number. Although first recognised as LGBT the Q has since been added representing “queer”, as not everyone can put them self in a box (click here for more terms). It was not until 1990 when equality was given to those part of LGBTQ+. However, for some there is still a struggle. Despite this for many there have been many more benefits than negatives.

So I have done enough posts on online dating, now I am going to do a post on online dating vs. real life dating. What one is essentially better for you to find love?

Lets start with online dating. Most peoples have had mixed views with online dating, some good and some awful.  There is so much new technology out there for us to online date; we should take full advantage of it. To help you decide I am going to give you the pros and cons of online dating.

What pictures can make someone stand out on Tinder?

Tinder is an extremely popular dating app with many matches being made each day. However, some of its users struggle to find matches, despite there being 50 million users. I did some research and found varying options on how to get the best pictures for dating apps. I have not tried any of these techniques out and they may only attract some people.

What is a catfish?

A catfish is essentially someone who pretends to be someone they are not. But are we not all guilty of this to an extent?. Especially when it comes to looking for love, we all want to put our best pictures on dating websites and make sure we are seen as the best version of our self.  This idea of a ‘better version of our self’ was briefly explained in one of my previous posts. There are very different types of ‘Catfishes’ ranging from someone who literally pretends to be a different person by using fake photos and then there is someone who edits their own personal photos so much . That when people meet them in person, they are stunned because they look nothing like their pictures.

What is a Soul mate?

A soul mate to me is someone who you are destined to find in life. The ‘perfect match’ for you, the person who is your soul mate is perfect in your eyes. But I do believe that our ‘soul mate’ does not always have to be someone who you are involved with romantically. It could be your best friend, your family anyone really. I think my soul mate could even be my dog at times the amount I love him, I honestly would pick him to live over most people I know. Because well dogs are just amazing they are so precious. Anyway back to soul mates I’m going to show you how you can potentially meet your soul mate online with the use of all the dating sites and apps that are out there.
